Cock'O the West Regatta - Strahan
The 2022 Cock of the West Regatta is being held at Macquarie Harbour Sailing Club in Strahan over the 8-hour-Day long weekend.
Run by Leven Yacht Club, all are welcome to attend, with racing on Saturday 12/3/2021 & Sunday 13/3/2021.
Course is very challenging with large starts & time limit given that all boats must race to. It is a handicap event which means literally anyone can win, no matter the boat.

A great time was had last year by all LYC sailors in attendance. 5 x F18's made the trip with Jason & Alex rather fortunately becoming Cock's, closely followed by Rohan & Arie.
Warning, the drive is long (allow 5-5.5 hours). Advice of the F18 sailors is to leave on Friday morning, if possible or Friday evening. It is the perfect opportunity to take a couple of extra days off work to visit the sites & sounds of the mighty West Coast... They've also got some pretty 'rad' new Mountain Bike tracks for anyone wanting some extra adrenaline.
